Luginy Solar Power Plant

Luginy Solar Power Plant (SPP) with a capacity of 15,8 MWp / 12 Mwe , generates clean energy
by using the solar power and provides the energy to the integrated power system of Ukraine. By
implementing the project, investors also aim to reduce dependency to the fossil fuels thereby
reducing the sources of environmental pollution.

Luginy Solar Power Plant (SPP) with a capacity of 15,8 MWp / 12 Mwe , generates clean energy by using the solar power and provides the energy to the integrated power system of Ukraine. By implementing the project, investors also aim to reduce dependency to the fossil fuels thereby reducing the sources of environmental pollution.


The project activity will generate greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions by avoiding CO2 emission from electricity generation by fossil fuel power plants. Start date of the crediting period is 21/08/2020. This date corresponds to the earliest provisional acceptance dates. The average annual generated energy is expected to be 14,552 MWh according to the generation values and the project will be able to deliver a reduction in emissions of around 14,844 tCO2e (tons of carbon dioxide equivalent) per annum. The total emission reduction for the whole crediting period is calculated as 148,439.7 tons of CO2.


The project is expected to contribute 6 SDGs which are SDG 5, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 13.
