Karamanlı Biogas Power Plant

Karamanlı Biogas Power Plant, built and operated in Burdur Province, Karamanlı District, Karamanlı Village has an installed capacity of 9.360MWe/ 9.636 MWm. as per the generation licence, numbered EÜ/10831-1/05139. The purpose of the project activity is to produce electricity from poultry and cattle manure with biomethanization process which will also result in fermented products that could be utilized as fertilizers by local farmers. Karamanlı Biogas Power plant has been granted the generation license from EMRA on 10-03-2022. As per the PO expectations, the annual expected generation is 48,786.192MWh/year.

The facility is expected to generate 48,786.192MWh/year when operational capacity is 9.36MWe. It is estimated that the project will help reduce carbon emissions by 86,665 tCO2e annually. The total emission reduction for the whole crediting period is calculated as 606,658tCO2e.

The project is expected to contribute 4 SDGs which are SDG 3, 7, 8 and 13.
